Armistice Day 1989, 4/12 Infantry, Baumholder
On 11 November 1989 I was on terminal leave, camping at Hartmannswillerskopf in the hills above Colmar, France, which was still littered with spent bullets and cartridge cases from 1914-1918.
As for Baumholder, 2LT Ted White (who I think was Mortar Platoon Leader at that point) and 2LT Ken Livingston would still have been there with 4/12 Infantry in late 1989.
