HHC Asst OPS NCO S-3/TC 4/12th Inf

I remember a lot of fine young officers and a strong NCO Corps from this Battalion. I remember when I got my EIB and helped about half of the Brigade get theirs with my improvised UNOFFICIAL training station out in the parking lot. I remember CSM Reed, LTC Shelverton, LTC Goodrich... Maj Bhatta, 1SG Ford and more. I took lots of pictures and go through them with my kids from time to time and the memories over whelm me. What times we had! I was Safety NCO on a Scout ARTEP Lane in Graf when they came and got me one night and said to pack your bags you got 6 days to clear. That was March 1991 and on Apr 1st 1991 I officially became a civilian but not for long. I stayed in the Reserves and became a Drill Sergeant at Ft. Sill for 13 more years until I retired December 2004. I live in Campbell, Texas and have been a Firefighter/Paramedic for 13 years with the City of Richardson in the DFW Area.

Clarence,

Thanks for the post.

When you first sent this I tried to reach you via your email without luck -- so if you see this, how about sending a note to me at matthewginn@gmail.com

We surely must have worked together while you were there in Baumholder.

Thanks

Matt
